The department’s past extends to 1982 however it started education as connected to the Eskişehir Osmangazi University established by the law on 1993. The graduate studies are opened in 1982. The goal of the graduate studies program is to train scientific experts that have high academic and scientific levels in statistics field, that can follow the contemporary developments in the statistics field. Program education language is Turkish.

6. Qualification Requirements and Regulations
The MSc program consists of minimum of seven courses, a seminar course, specialization field courses and a thesis study. According to the ECTS regulations, to graduate from the program, minimum 60 ECTS credits of course work and 60 ECTS credit thesis study must be completed. The letter grade of the courses must be at least CC, and the cumulative grade ponit average (CGPA) must be at least 3.0/4.0..

Our students who are graduated from the program can work at public and private institutions with the title Statistics Science Expert. In addition, they can take on a job as Academician, System Analyst, Computer Software Expert, Data Analyst, Public Opinion Researcher, TUİK Expert, Quality Control Expert, Marketing and Sales Expert, Bank Inspector, Expert in Banks and Insurance Companies, Production, Finance and Accounting personnel.

11. Examinations, Measurement and Evaluation
Evaluation and assesment methods for each course are determined by the course instructor and announced in the beginning of the term. The relevant information is described in the Course Information Form of each course. Grades/success evalutions of courses are conducted according to the ESOGU-GER.
12. Graduation Requirements
The MSc program consists of minimum seven courses, a seminar course, specialization field courses and a thesis study. According to the ECTS regulations, minimum of 60 ECTS credits of course work and 60 ECTS credit thesis study must be taken.
The MSc program is four semesters and the maximum completion period is six semesters.
To graduate from the program, the student must write their thesis according to the Thesis Writing Guide determined by the Graduate School and succesfully defend in front of jury.

15. Department / Program Opportunities
In the Statistics Department total of 16 academic personnel as 8 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 5 Doctor Academic Personal, 1 academic staff, 4 teaching assistants and 1 administrative personnel work.
In the Statistics Department, within total of 380 m2 usage area, there are 21 offices and in total of 288 m2 usage area there are 4 classrooms and two laboratories with 4 computers in 12 m2 and 60 computers in 72 m2. 4 classrooms and 1 laboratory are equipped with fixed Data Show and 1 computer, and also there is 1 mobile Data Show.
Other than these, the classrooms of the Natural Sciences Institute can also be used.
