Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, continued its education and training activities within the Eskişehir School of Health, which was established by the decision of the Council of Ministers dated October 10, 1996, and numbered 96/8655, until 2016. With the decision of the Council of Ministers dated August 20, 2015, and numbered 80052, published in the Official Gazette dated August 27, 2015, and with the transformation of Eskişehir School of Health into the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Department of Nursing started to accept new students within the Faculty of Health Sciences as of the 2016-2017 academic year.

Students who successfully complete the program are awarded a bachelor's degree in nursing.

General admission requirements for Turkish and international students are valid to start the program.
5. Recognition of Former Education
Recognition of previous formal learning in Turkish Higher Education institutions, vertical, horizontal and university transfers are carried out within the scope of the "REGULATION ON THE PRINCIPLES OF TRANSFER BETWEEN ASSOCIATE AND UNDERGRADUATE LEVEL PROGRAMS, DOUBLE MAJOR, MINOR AND INTER-INSTITUTIONAL CREDIT TRANSFER" determined by the Council of Higher Education.
In Turkey, exemption exams are held at the beginning of each academic term for some computer and foreign language courses within the scope of recognition of certificate-based or experience-based learning outside formal education institutions. Students who take the exam and pass it are exempt from the relevant courses in the curriculum.
6. Competency Requirements and Terms
According to "ESKİSEHİR OSMANGAZI UNIVERSITY ASSOCIATE AND UNDERGRADUATE EDUCATION-TRAINING AND EXAMINATION REGULATIONS" dated September 14, 2019, numbered 30888, in order for the student to complete the program s/he is registered in and receive a diploma, in addition to having a general grade point average of at least 2.00 and at least DD from all courses in the education plan, it is necessary to obtain a YT grade, complete 240 ECTS in undergraduate studies, and complete compulsory internships. All of these requirements must be met in order for the student to graduate from the program and receive a diploma. A student who meets these conditions before eight semesters by complying with this regulation can receive a diploma in a shorter period of time.
7. Objectives of the Program
Ø The aim of the nursing department is to provide an associated degreed and trained nurse who is able to;
Ø make studies about protection for the community family and individual health or illness, protection and regaining of health,
Ø share the results of research at the point of development of health protection
Ø rely on team collaboration for protection for the community family and individual health
Ø protect health of community family and individual and be a consultant for health protection and regaining health in case of illness
Ø make care plans, which are suitable for standarts of European Union in higher education system, and conduct them using evidence-based and critical thinking process.
Ø effectively communicate about protection of health of community family and individual and health protection in case of illness and regaining health.
Ø use holistic care approach and contribute evolution of nursing profession,
Ø get on legal and ethical principles at nursing care
Ø share all kinds of information at the point of being an advocate for the rights of patients and families in patient care, share knowledge and skills required for recovery of individuals
Ø give care to family at protection of health and the treatment of disease in accordance with the holistic and humanistic values
8. Program Qualifications (Learning Outcomes)
Our Graduates,
1. In any environment, they can determine the individual, family and society’s health-related needs which can be met by nursing interventions in any environment.
2. They can make plan of nursing care for requirements within the context of the nursing diagnostic process.

7. They can prepare trainin plan accordance with the defined requirement.

11. They can make tasks in current legislation in family medicine practice.
12. They can work in management and administrative duties which are related to nursing.
9. Careers
Nursing program graduates can work in all public or private health institutions, workplaces, schools, elderly care homes, kindergartens, etc., and are employed as nurses in preventive, treatment, and rehabilitative fields. In addition, they can become researchers, educators, consultants, and managers and work for pharmaceutical companies in medical equipment marketing and promotion, R&D centers, and consultancy centers.

- Within the scope of Internal Medicine Nursing as a Diabetes Training Nurse, Oncology Nurse, Dialysis Nurse, Rehabilitation Nurse, Endoscopy Nurse
- Within the scope of Surgical Nursing as an Operating Room Nurse, Stoma and Wound Care Nurse
- Within the scope of Child Health and Diseases Nursing as a Pediatric Nurse, Neonatal Nurse

- Within the scope of Public Health Nursing as a Home Care Nurse, Maternal-Child Health and Family Planning Center Nurse, Community Mental Health Center Nurse, Occupational Health Nurse, School Health Nurse, and Penal and Detention Center Nurse.
- Within the scope of Mental Health and Disease Nursing as a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Nurse, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Nurse, and Alcohol and Substance Addiction Center Nurse.
10. Further Study
Candidates who have completed their undergraduate education can study postgraduate programs in their field or related fields, provided that they receive valid scores from ALES or equivalent exams and have sufficient foreign language knowledge.

Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Health Sciences has 8 classrooms, 2 lecture halls, a skill practice laboratory shared by the Midwifery and Nursing department, 2 multi-purpose seminar halls shared with other departments, and a student canteen.
