1. General Information
Metallurgical and Materials Engineering examines the processes of transforming the raw materials to the useful materials in a wide range changes from daily live needs to automotive, aircraft/space and energy industries and aims to get the engineers expert in this transformation processes. The Ph.D. program in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department offers students the opportunity to undertake advanced research in the production and characterization of materials and the selection of materials for their use in a specific area and to have a research philosophy. All of the metallic, ceramic and polymeric materials are of interest to research subjects in this program.
Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering started education and training activities in the PhD program in 2014.
Attendants of this program are required to take 7 courses and 1 seminar and then to prepare a thesis based on Ph.D. research subjects and defend it orally. The PhD program aims to educate the graduates who have high level research philosophy in accordance with academic programs. The students who successfully complete this program are awarded with a Ph.D. degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Program.
