1.General Information

The aim of this deoartment is to train teachers who are able to use basic information and instructional technologies effectively in all areas of life, have critical thinking, effective communication, research, problem solving and leadership skills, internalized the student and teacher profession, and teach IT and technology. In the four-year undergraduate program; the courses and activities necessary for the students to develop and to use their full potentials themselves in the social, cultural and intellectual areas as well as the technical ones are included.

Students who successfully complete the program receive a in teaching profession.

4. Acceptance and Registration Terms

General acceptance conditions for Turkish and foreign students.

 5. Recognition of Prior Learning

Exemption exams are held at the beginning of each academic term for some computer and foreign language courses within the scope of recognition of certificated or experiential learning out of educational institutions in Turkey. Students who attend and succeed in the examination are exempted from the relevant courses in the course schedule.  

6. Qualification Requirements and Rules

The student should not have any FF, DZ or YZ grades in order to complete all the courses in the program. In this program, the student must have a minimum of 240/120 ECTS credits and be at least 2.00 out of 4.00 of the GPA.

 7. Profile of Program

- -To train teachers who have professional ethics and produce solutions to social problems within the framework of social responsibility

-Teaching teachers at the level of using technology in education and researching about teaching profession

-Teaching teachers who are able to use the lectures in the lectures and enrich the lectures with these technologies

-To educate technological leaders who can plan for this need by analyzing the technological needs of their children

-Teaching the importance of instructional technologies for all branches, training interdisciplinary teachers

Efficiently and effectively use designing, planning, implementing, and managing process of educational technology; design and prepare required products, changes and updates by examining these processes

Reaching, analyzing, synthesing and evaluating knowledge and using and adapting knowledge to new situations by using information technologies

Have sufficient knowledge, skill and competence about issues related to teaching profession and to perform this profession

Knows how to use instructional technologies and materials in lessons; developing, using and guiding applications such as educational software, e-learning, distance learning, learning management systems

Develop materials to enrich learning activities, by using special developed programs to prepare graphic designing and animation, web designing and educational software

Identifies, models and solves problems in Computer and Instructional Technologies Education field

Planning technological needs by analyzing the current situation and leads the use of these technologies in education and training process

Used domain-specific teaching-learning theories, teaching-learning strategies, methods and techniques to apply

Determine measurement and evaluation methods used into Information education technology and techniques.

To be skills and competence of computer hardware, operating systems, computer networks and programming languages

Create solutions for social problems within the framework of social responsibility and professional ethics.

9. Employment Opportunities for Graduates

Students who complete the program have the opportunity to work in private and public schools attached to Ministry of Education

10. Transition to Further Programs

Candidates who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can obtain a valid score from the ALES or equivalent exams and study at the undergraduate programs in their respective fields or related areas provided they have sufficient foreign language knowledge.
