9. Graduates Employment Opportunities

Our department has given more than 5000 graduates since 1974 and these graduates work in public institutions such as D.S.İ, Karayolları, İller Bankası, Village Services and municipalities as well as lecturers and researchers at universities or in large contracting companies that have made a name in our country with their private contracting companies. Civil engineers, whose working areas are very wide, find job opportunities in the aircraft industry, agriculture, mining, housing sector and in the environmental field, which is becoming increasingly important.

Housing and business housing construction, high-rise buildings, dams and water structures, nuclear, thermal and all kinds of power plants, highways, tunnels, railway and railway bridges, planning and construction of air and sea ports, drinking water and sewerage networks, metro and Public transportation infrastructures including light rail transportation systems, underground and submarine tube passages, ground survey and improvement, examination and manufacture of materials used in all listed structures; Planning and economic studies of large-scale projects are the most important subjects of Civil Engineering's interests.

Graduates of this master's program are expected to do consultancy or research and development in the fields of geotechnical, hydraulic, mechanics, transportation, building materials, construction and construction management. Graduates can work in Civil Engineering in the private or public sector or pursue their careers in the academic field.
