Industrial Engineering (MSc)

1. General Information

Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Industrial Engineering was established in 1975 within the body of Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences and started education in the 1977-1978 academic year. Our department, which had two departments, Industry and Operations Research, at its establishment and later until 2015, today has four departments: Production and Service Systems, Quality Management and Quality Assurance Systems, Human Machine Systems and Operations Research. Our aim is to provide a high quality education program to ensure that our graduates are preferred at national and international level. In this direction, it is important for our students to grow up as Industrial Engineers who have the knowledge and skills to identify occupational problems, modeling, compiling data, solving them using modern techniques and information technologies, and interpreting results in systems containing human, machine, material, energy and information.

The graduate students of our department contribute theoretically and practically to the solution of real life problems and to the improvement of processes through graduate scientific research and studies. In graduate education; in the design, development, management and improvement of production, service and information systems; It is aimed to apply the principles of management science, business science and optimization and to bring together computer sciences and to train graduates who serve humanity by considering positive disciplines within the framework of quality.

9. Graduates Employment Opportunities

Industrial engineers can carry out professional activities in all systems that produce goods and / or services. Graduates of master’s program take part in the design and establishment stages of such systems, and also do postgraduate engineering studies on how the operation should be after the establishment, in other words, how to make the best use of existing resources (human, machine and material). These studies, in particular, include finding the best solutions when conditions allow, taking into account the human dimension of the system. Our graduate graduates can work as academicians and researchers in national and international universities and research institutions.
