1-General İnformation

This Deparments;

-deal with and analyze branches of sciences and their topics in heritage of İslamic science and culture with aspects of historical and problematic.

- analyze the basic sources of İslam and efforts to understand theese with scientific methods providing the required language proficiency

- reserach and evaluate groups, diversities and schools in history of İslamic thought and belief with their historical and actual reflection

- evaluate accumulation created by İslamic culture in individual and social grade taking into consideration the belief, ethic and behavior

 

2-The Obtanied Degree

The Persons who have successfully completed program of department of main islamic sciences and its thesis obtain master degree (expert of main islamic sciences) in department of main islamic sciences

The Conditions of Acceptance ad Enrollment

The General Conditions of Acceptance to starting the program for Turkish and Foreign students are valid

 

4-Recognition the Previous Learning

Recognition the previous learning, vertical- horizontal transition and transitions in university in Turkish higher education institutions are applying in accordance with regulation that determine   d by Higher Education Institute: “The Regulation about principals of transition between programs in associate- license degree and double major, lateral and credit transfer between insstitutions”    

The exemption exam is are applying at the beginning of each academic term for some computer and language lessons fort he purpose of recognition the learning based on the certificate or experience outside of formal educational institutions in Turkey. The students who are successfull in the exam are exemption from lessons in syllabus

  

5-Conditions and Rules of Qualification

To bring up experts who have the knowledge of The essential islamic scinces are able read and comprehend the principal sources in their fields, produce sound and appropriate knowledge out of them and convey them in a systematic way to those who are concerned.

To equip the students with the ability of reading and understanding the essential Islamic hisscinces sources and Turkish Islamic Literare, of assessing the resources found in them in a sound and healthy way, of formulating both verbally and in written form the outcomes in a systematic way and of using them for the contemporary needs.

 

6-Proficiency Requirements and Norms

It’s essential that students must be succeed at all courses, and must not get FFDZ  orYZ grade. In this program, students must complete at least 120ECTS credits and grade point average must be at least 3,00 out of 4,00.

 

7-Profile of the Program

1. Master program is consist of seven courses providing that not less than twenty-one credits, seminar course, specializatiom field lesson course and thesis working. Seminar course, specialization field course and thesis working are non-credits and it is evaluate as successfull or unsuccessfull.

2. The maximum time to complete of master’s degree is three years. The Student can graduate before this time if he accomplish requirements of master program. But this graduation is not possible before than three years.

3. The student who completed lessons and seminar course, also dont obtained general point avarage 3,00/ 4,00 (GPA) should report whether continue or not to head of department in writing. Students who wish to continue are taking  new courses  providing the GPA outside of BB and higher notes. But, the student dont take advantage of student rights outside of participation to lessons, exams and thesis preparation.

4. The topic and consultant of student who, completed courses, seminar course and obtain GPA but didnt enter thesis defense examination for cant accomplish thesis working within three years, are replaceable. 

5.The Jury decide on the thesis with absolute majority as “Acceptance”, “Rejection” or “Correction”. This decision is notified by head of department of institute for three days. The student who his thesis is rejected report whether continue to master or not to head of department in writing. The consultant is designated and the new topic is determined for student wish to continue and this is reported to institute. The Student who is decided on his thesis as “correction” defend his thesis in front of the jury as fullfilled the requirements at the latest within three months. The Student who is rejected his thesis report whether continue or not to head department of institute in writing. The consultant is designated and the new topic is determined for student wish to continue and this is reported to institute.

The Certificate of master degree is gived for student of master who succeed in thesis exam provided that other conditions and  delivered his thesis to institute as three copies as bounded determined by board of directors of institute for one month after the thesis exam and approved his thesis in terms of form. 

 

8-Key Learning Outcomes

1- Understanding and comprehending meanings of verses of the Quran and improving the ability to make comments.

2- Recognizing meaning and commentaries of Qoran closely and comparing between them.

3- For interested gaining the skills to exchange views on the international level about interpretation of the Qoran.

4- At the end the course the students should be able to Know the mean fields of the sunnah and hadith, Know the importance of the sunnah on understanding of the Quran and the relationship between the Quran and the Sunnah

5- At the end the course the students should be able to Knowg discussed and debated issues related to Sunnah and the hadith in history and today. They evaluate on debated issues today. They offer solutions related to the problems.

6- At the end the course the students should be able to Know the process of the criticism as a concept. Gain a perspective about this subject, having an opportunity to investigate the samples of the criticism in the history of Islamic culture and dispute it. Learn the methods using in the west and comparing between them.

7- Knows History of Islamic Sects in terms of topics and purposes, and its relationship with other religious sciences

8- Knows basic resources, the methodology of History of Islamic Sects and the main religious movement/sects which has emerged since the early periods.

9- Evaluates classical sources of Hadith and History, mentality structures.

10- Understands, evaluates and comments the process of formation and development of Islamic thought.

11- Comprehend and analyze the principles of Islamic faith in the light of historical process.

12- Understand and evaluate the political and social background of Interdenominational theological differences.

13- New problems will arise in the field of Theology Quran, Sunnah and other evidence attached to them using the scientific sense of the community to express and produce objective data.

14- Acquired domain knowledge in Theology and sharing of scientific studies and aiming to perform specific targets derived from global experience to provide practical transformation.

15- Scientific discipline and adherence to the scientific data to develop systematic thinking, the other side branches of Islamic law allows the ability to exchange information and share development.

16- In usually have teoloji divinity in navnlig mystical fields data collection.

17- Project generation, strategy development, activity planning, realization and presentation to society ability.

18- Can understand all kinds of classical and modern text was written with the Arabic language as a source language.

19- Is dominated by issues of the rhetoric and interpret them in the texts.

20- Wins a proficiency about the Arab literature, the poetry and the literary arts.

 

9-Employment Possibilities of Graduates

Working in related disciplines at universities as academic staff; working in various positions under the predicency of religious affairs; working in jobs appropriate to the field under various official and civil social organizations.

 

10-Transition to hihg degree programs

The candidates who completed the licence education can study graduate programs in their field or appropriated fields providing that get enough point from ALES and have adequate level of knowledge of foreign language.

The measurument and evaluation method applied to each lesson are defined detailed in “lesson information form”
