Institute of Medical Sciences

Our institute was established in 1983 for the purpose of arranging and controlling the post graduate education in related departments of Faculties of Medical and Pharmacy as Anadolu University Institute of Medical Sciences in accordance with constitutions taking place in 3/1, 19, 50 and 65th entries of higher education law numbered 2547.

Detached from Anadolu University upon the establishment of two universities in 1993, our institute has continued to post graduate and doctorate education in 14 departments under Osmangazi University Rectorate. Graduated 254 post graduate and 127 doctorate students (Totally 381 students) till today, our institute has raised well informed, investigative and skilled academic members in field of Medical Sciences for our country.

Existence of our graduates having positions in academic staff as professors, associate professors, assistant professors, and lecturers in Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine, Anadolu University Faculty of Pharmacy and other universities proves the quality of post graduate education in our institute. As a result of the researches and studies, 381 post graduate and doctoral dissertations have been prepared some of which were evaluated as research projects and some were published in international literature.
